Ingredients
- Potato gnocchi500 g
- Olive oil1 tbsp
- Pizza sauce300 ml
- Shredded mozzarella150 g
- Pepperoni slices50 g
- Fresh basil1 handful
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the gnocchi and pan-fry for about 5 minutes until they are slightly crispy and golden brown on the outside.
Pour the pizza sauce over the toasted gnocchi and stir well to coat every piece. Let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce is completely warmed through.
Turn off the stove. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the saucy gnocchi, then arrange the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
Place the skillet under the oven broiler for 2 to 3 minutes. Watch closely until the cheese is melted, beautifully bubbly, and slightly golden.
Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven. Garnish with a handful of fresh basil if desired, and serve immediately straight from the pan.
