How does automatic aisle sorting work?
When you add items, Veloop automatically categorizes and sorts them based on a standard grocery store layout. But it doesn't stop there: Veloop also learns from how you actually pick items in your store, fine-tuning the order so it's perfectly tailored to your usual route.
What is Magic Reader?
With Magic Reader, you can take a photo of any recipe, share a recipe link from Safari (Share → Veloop), or paste a URL directly into the search field. Veloop AI automatically extracts the ingredients and adds them to your grocery list.
What is the in-store experience like?
Veloop is designed specifically for the store environment. With "dark mode" the sharp screen light is reduced while navigating the aisles, and large touch surfaces mean you can easily check off items with one hand while pushing the cart with the other.
Does Veloop support my local language?
Yes! Veloop was born in Scandinavia and naturally supports Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish – in addition to English. The app and website automatically adapt to your language to make planning as frictionless as possible.
Does Veloop work on Android?
Yes! Veloop for Android is currently in active beta testing. It has full visual and functional parity with the iOS app, including real-time syncing and offline support. You can sign up as a beta tester on our Android page to get access.
How do I delete my account?
You have control over your data. You can delete your account and all associated history directly in the app settings, or by contacting us at support@veloop.app.
Can Veloop suggest dinners for me?
Yes! With Veloop AI, you get tailored dinner suggestions based on what your family likes, allergies, what you have in your kitchen, and what you're in the mood for – all added directly to your grocery list.
Do all family members have to pay for a Veloop AI subscription?
No. A subscription is personal and provides access to advanced features in the app. However, everyone in the family can still share and use the same grocery lists for free. They will see all items added (including those generated with AI), but they will need their own subscription if they want to use the advanced features like AI planning and Kitchen status themselves.
How does the automatic meal planner work?
Veloop AI generates exciting new recipes every week tailored to your family. A meal for four is automatically scaled accurately before items are added to your list.
What about food allergies or special diets?
In Settings ('Dietary Flags'), you can tick allergies like gluten or lactose. The planner will never suggest meals that conflict with your settings unless you override them.
What is the Kitchen tab in Veloop?
The Kitchen tab gives you a complete overview of your fridge and freezer right in the app. You see color-coded freshness indicators (green, orange, red) showing when items should be used, can swipe ingredients directly into the meal planner, and set up staples that automatically go on your grocery list when they run out.
How does Veloop use my fridge to plan dinner?
Veloop is Pantry-Aware — the meal planner automatically reads your fridge and freezer inventory. Typically, 2 of every 5 daily dinner suggestions use ingredients you already have at home. Meals are tagged with fridge (🥒) or freezer (❄️) icons so you can easily spot leftover-based dinners.

Bring! is a traditional shared grocery list funded by advertising.
